à la carte is a photographic still life series transforming individual fruits and vegetables into luscious textural and formal explorations. Through the technique of long exposure, this project connects the presentation of raw ingredients to the slow food movement, which similarly emphasizes whole foods and purposeful preparation. Influenced by the photographic work of pioneers like Edward Weston and Irving Penn, the series elevates the form and color of produce aisle staples.
